Where Are We Going And What Will We Do When We Get There

Visiting monuments is as much about the relationship you develop with the group of people who are there with you than the object you are visiting. The experience is unique to that group and different ten minutes later when another caravan of families, friends, couples and their pets transcend upon (in this case) Crater Lake. This is our group shot, awkward, unsure, clumsy. We made a great group. {226124}

The tourists of any attraction are often as entertaining and picturesque as the monument itself. At Crater Lake in Oregon you drive around the crater, park your car, walk up to the edge, snap some pictures and repeat. It takes almost a full working day to make your way around the crater this way (if you include taking a 30 minute nap on the side of the road).

These tourists are walking away from one of the first sites upon entering the park. What I like most about the photo is the two bikers embracing each other. Add a lot of sand and some beautiful mountains in the background and you have yourself a photo. (221180)
